A Bold Way to Help Stop Global Warming

Synopsis

The World Business Academy looks for ways to stave off the effects of global warming. In fact, they wrote a 75-page paper about one particular way: shading the equator from space. But they hadn't visualized it. So, they turned to emota.

To help with their bold approach, we collaborated with a team of experts. Together, we researched, designed and visualized a network of 2 meter spacecraft with expandable solar shields. Each spacecraft would help form a web of controllable shades in orbit around the equator. Once developed, this solution could reduce ocean temperatures and methane emissions – ultimately cooling the planet and mitigating the effects of climate change.

We used CAD, animation, VFX and our love for documentary storytelling to create a short, impactful film that is being used to pitch to the international science and space community.
